Barbaresco di Gaja is one of the most prestigious Italian wines, elegant and known all over the world. It is intense, soft and velvety, with an impeccable bouquet of berries, violets and woody nuances. Refines for 24 months in barriques and large barrels. Elegant and powerful in liquid form!
The rebirth of Piedmontese viticulture, under the sign of a vision conceptually linked to the innovation of production processes, on an international wine business model, is indisputably linked to the name of Angelo Gaja: a forerunner with his ideas, pursued by ' 60 years after close observation of the world stage production. Creator of a unique style based on the reduction of yields per hectare, with the aim of pursuing a higher quality of the grapes, and first messenger in Italy of winemaking techniques based on temperature control and aging in barriques, Angelo Gaja has made of Barbaresco its main banner, pursuing a quality level of unique thickness. Produced from the rigorous selection of grapes from 14 vineyards located in the municipalities of Barbaresco and Treiso, Barbaresco Gaja lends itself to embody the multifaceted nature of the terroir of birth, composed of clay-rich marl limestone typical of the Langhe. And if in the production phase it accompanied a long maceration with the extraction of balanced body and aroma, the formula for the maturation of Gaja Barbaresco is a chemistry that made it perfect: 1 year in oak barrels, 1 year in large oak barrels, 1 year in the bottle, so that the opening to modernity does not deviate too much from tradition. Thus, year after year, Barbaresco Gaja enters history, even if its true essence is timeless, like everything that remains in the memory beyond a single tasting, wine par excellence, or, more simply, Barbaresco.
