The famous Amarone by Allegrini is a robust and important wine, aged for 18 months in new barrels. Born from vines over 30 years of age, from grapes in natural over-saturation. The nose gives notes of ripe red fruit and spirit, with spicy tones, while the taste is full, soft and enveloping. A big Amarone. A reference of the whole denomination

AMARONE CLASSICO ALLEGRINI DESCRIPTION
The Amarone Allegrini is simply a great wine. full stop. Bodied and powerful, complex, elegant and velvety. Thanks to the technique of drying the grapes, that after harvest, are allowed to rest for a period ranging from 3-4 months. Traditionally this wine is paired with dishes made with game, grilled meats, stews and mature cheese. But with the scent of dried grapes, Amarone can also be enjoyed with original and fascinating dishes with sweet-sour taste, so it goes perfectly with the creations of Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. The excellence of the Amarone Allegrini was confirmed in the China Wine Challenge 2011, where the vintage 2007 was claimed “the best red wine of the Old World", defeating not only all the other great italian producers, but also all the multi-winner french producers. It was already among our favourite wines before this prize...
