DESCRIPTION OF THE RIGHTEOUS OF NOTRI
The "Giusto di Notri" Tua Rita is a classic Supertuscan produced with the famous Bordeaux vines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The international red berried varieties have shown that they adapt very well to the Mediterranean climate of the Tuscan coast, giving ripe, intense and well-structured wines. In the territory of the Metalliferous Hills, in addition to an exuberant fruit and a dense aromatic persistence, the Bordeaux grapes also express themselves with mineral hints typical of the area, which make their profile particularly elegant.
The red "Giusto di Notri" pays homage with its name to the Church of San Giusto di Suvereto and also to the first vineyard of the estate planted in Notri. It is the wine that has accompanied Tua Rita's adventure in the world of wine from the beginning and still today represents its 20-year history, in the name of the continuous search for harmony and elegance. The blend is made up of a classic Bordeaux blend: Cabernet Sauvignon (80%), Merlot (10%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). The vineyards are cultivated with spurred cordon with a planting density of 8500 vines per hectare and managed under organic farming. The soils mainly composed of clay, silt and sand, with an abundant presence of skeleton, are very rich in mineral substances and give the wines a particular typically territorial ferrous and saline connotation. After the manual harvest, the grapes are sent for spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts which takes place in large barrels. The wine ages for 18 months in first and second passage French oak barriques and completes the refinement in the bottle for a few months before being put on sale.
The "Giusto di Notri" represents the memory and history of the Tua Rita winery. The wine that also expresses its production philosophy, its identity and its stylistic coherence. It is, in fact, a Bordeaux blend, not only marked more by elegance than by concentration and power, but above all capable of restoring the peculiar characteristics of the terroir. In the glass it has a dark ruby color with garnet hues. The olfactory framework is broad and complex, seductive with ripe aromas of small berries, elegant spicy and balsamic notes, memories of Mediterranean scrub herbs, toasted and graphite nuances. On the palate it has an important structure, aromatically persistent, complex and deep sip, with an elegant tannic texture, refreshing freshness and closing on mineral notes.
